The Swiss Cancer Research foundation, based in Bern, is a non-profit organization supporting independent research projects at Swiss universities and hospitals. Our goal is to improve survival rates and the quality of life for patients with cancer. Together, we are finding cures faster.
Since 1991, the foundation Swiss Cancer Research has been investing donations in all areas of cancer research. Particular attention is paid to supporting patient-oriented research, the results of which benefit patients as directly as possible. The Board of Trustees of the Swiss Cancer Research is responsible for the distribution of funds to researchers. In deciding which research projects to fund, it relies on the recommendations of the Scientific Committee, which reviews all applications according to clearly defined criteria.
Thanks to our thorough evaluation process, donors can be confident that their donations are making a real impact. We fund only industry-independent projects that are carefully assessed as high-quality and promising.
