Reporting

Monitoring and reviewing research activity is an essential part of our funding activities. It conveys valuable insight on the work in which we invest and enables assessment of the impact of the funded research. It also provides us and the network charities with information to underpin their communication, fundraising and health information activities.

Therefore, researchers are required to present their research progress in one or two reports, showing the extent to which they have used the funding and what insights have been won.

Progress reports at a glance

  • Your progress report schedule is available via Grant Application Portal. We will notify you three months before a report is due.
  • Navigate to Awards, select your project and navigate to Requirements
  • Once you submit your report online, they will be examined by the relevant bodies. The Scientific Office will inform recipients once their reports have been approved.

Scientific Reports

  • Scientific progress reports must be completed via the Grant Application Portal. The system will guide you through the reporting process.
  • Please note: A description of the research work carried out during the reporting period and a summary of the results will be required. This information should be entered directly into the relevant fields in the reporting form. Please do not upload the report as a separate PDF file.
  • Please update your Funding Award information in the portal as soon as publications arising from funding are published. Please follow our publication guidelines.
  • It is vital that the funding organization and the grant number (Swiss Cancer Research foundation (KFS-XXX-MM-YYYY)) are mentioned in the funding or acknowledgement section of the publication.

Financial Reports

  • Interim and final financial reports must be uploaded via the Grant Application Portal. We accept financial reports generated by your organization or the completed financial report form below. Keep receipts related to this Funding Award for at least six years, but do not submit them to our office.
  • Any funding granted but not used must be paid back to us upon completion of the research work. Please contact the Scientific Office on how to proceed in such cases.
